  • Manages flock schedules/egg supply to best match expected demand through advanced scenario planning and systems based forecasting.
  • Manages the efforts of a 3-6 member supply chain team to fulfil company and departmental strategies and initiatives.
  • Develop, improve and support supply chain strategies, and move those strategies forward with focus on supply chain visibility.
  • Works with QA team to continuously improve the quality of the raw materials through maintenance and development of the egg quality processes.

  • Work with the Materials Manager to develop appropriate replenishment policies, and to systematize and automate replenishment transactions.
  • Perform other duties and cross training as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience, advanced degree preferred
  • 2+ years’ management experience in supply chain or operations
  • Able to effectively communicate verbally and in writing to all levels of the organization

As the Pete and Gerry’s corporate librarian, the Document Control Specialist will be the gate keeper and compliance officer for the Document Control process. Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Administer the document lifecycle (author, approve, publish, revise, retire, archive) for all departments. Documents in scope of control include but are not limited to: policies, procedures, work instructions, forms, job descriptions, certifications, environmental test results, contracts, calibration records, corrective action plans, and system verifications.

The crew is also responsible for communication and support of the loader crew, communication and support of the line workers and box taper crews and all cooler related activities. The crew must work independently from communications relating to the days production needs either from the Shipping and receiving Manager, QA Manager, Plant Manager and/or the Production and Operations Manager.

The crew must be prepared to change direction per customer or internal changes and/or requirements to satisfy processing needs.  Any deviations from the requirements checklist must meet approval from authorizing Manager.  Any deviations from any food safety procedure must meet approval from the Quality Assurance Manager.

Responsible for palletizing finished cartons for product on the clean side of the processing plant.  The Box Taper is responsible for the final inspection of the finished carton box.  Duties include monitoring the date code on finished cases per customer specific requirements and monitoring for damaged or compromised product.

Responsibilities include:

  • Stage materials for days production including pallets, cardboard and pallet trays
  • Change tape on machine in the morning or downtime
  • Start machine and printer for 6:30 to 7:00 processing start
  • Assist with labeling and staging of boxes or cartons as needed
  • Palletize boxes per customer label
  • Stack boxes neatly inspecting for any damage or compromise (return such to rework and/or waste)
  • Monitor date code on finished cases per customer requirements (inform maintenance of issues)
  • Segregate materials and maintain spacing from exterior wall spacing
  • Keep work area neat and clean as time allows utilizing downtime (sweeping, etc.)
