As an integral member of the Business Intelligence and Supply Chain teams, the Strategic Operations Analyst (SOA) will be responsible for supporting Operation’s efforts to improve our supply chain by using data-driven analytics to propose new approaches, improve our supply chain network, and develop new business strategies. The SOA shall develop the production planning systems and people to meet the growing needs of the organization.

  • Develop, improve and support supply chain strategies, and move those strategies forward.
  • Employ analytical capabilities to create supply chain models that optimally balance resource utilization with customer order fulfillment.
  • Continuously improve the planning function and extend the planning window for all facilities.
  • Develop and maintain key performance indicators (KPI’s) for inventory, logistics, and supply chain.
  • Lead the implementation of new ERP functionality in the areas of manufacturing, warehouse, and logistics management.
  • Work with the Production and Logistics teams to maximize and continuously improve KPI’s.
  • Work with the Materials Manager to develop appropriate replenishment policies, and to systematize and automate replenishment transactions.

Requires:

  • 4+ years’ experience in supply chain, process development or manufacturing operations.
  • Bachelor of Arts or Science degree or equivalent experience.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills are essential, especially presentation skills.
  • Excellent analytical, modeling, problem solving, leadership and organizational skills.
  • Excellent knowledge of supply/demand tools, processes, and operations planning.

Overall Responsibility   The shipping and receiving crew is responsible for all work related activities in the shipping and receiving cooler. The crew is also responsible for communication and support of the loader crew, communication and support of the line workers and box taper crews and all cooler related activities. The crew must work independently from communications relating to the days production needs either from the Shipping and receiving Manager, QA Manager, Plant Manager and/or the Production and Operations Manager.

The crew must be prepared to change direction per customer or internal changes and/or requirements to satisfy processing needs.  Any deviations from the requirements checklist must meet approval from authorizing Manager.  Any deviations from any food safety procedure must meet approval from the Quality Assurance Manager.

Key areas of Responsibility

  • On time punctuality and good attendance

  • Support the line workers and box taper crew by pulling finished product

Responsible for palletizing finished cartons for product on the clean side of the processing plant.  The Box Taper is responsible for the final inspection of the finished carton box.  Duties include monitoring the date code on finished cases per customer specific requirements and monitoring for damaged or compromised product.

Responsibilities include:

  • Stage materials for days production including pallets, cardboard and pallet trays
  • Change tape on machine in the morning or downtime
  • Start machine and printer for 6:30 to 7:00 processing start
  • Assist with labeling and staging of boxes or cartons as needed
  • Palletize boxes per customer label
  • Stack boxes neatly inspecting for any damage or compromise (return such to rework and/or waste)

Overall Responsibility   This position is primarily responsible for the hands-on and visual monitoring of product to ensure compliance with the company quality programs and standards.  The QC Tech will check the eggs as the eggs move on the conveyor over light through the candling booth.  They will also be responsible for conducting finish goods testing.

 

Key areas of Responsibility

  • Inspecting the eggs at multiple stages of the production process
  • Be aware of the blending changes as lot swaps occur
  • Segregate eggs by dirts for rework and leakers into the waste barrels
