Support Family Farming

Did you know that Pete & Gerry’s is a family farm?  Jesse is a part of “Generation Organic.”  After graduating from Bates College in 2000, Jesse decided to return to Monroe, NH to join his Dad, Gerry on the family farm. Rather than joining the ranks of his peers entering the workforce in jobs in a field related to his degree in Political Science and Economics, he moved back to Monroe, a town of approximately 800 people to work on the family organic egg farm. Since 2000 we have been very fortunate to have seen remarkable growth in the organic food sector.

Today Pete & Gerry’s has become a  leader in humane, environmentally responsible and sustainable egg production. We produce our organic and cage-free eggs, Nellie’s Nest cage-free eggs, and are now producing Pete & Gerry’s Heirloom Eggs on our own farm as well as on more than 30 family farms throughout the Northeast. We are committed to working with family farmers to help farmers add value to their own farms as well as to further prevent the decline of family farming in the United States.  We have added farmers to our family who are new to farming, who have added on to their current farms (both egg and dairy), and we also work with farmers who have converted from dairy to egg farming.
