Amy and her daughter layer flaky biscuits with sausage, cheddar cheese, and just-laid eggs to make a tasty and hearty meal that helps fuel the hard work and daily happenings on the Crouse family farm.
Directions
- Preheat oven to 350F.
- Spread biscuit pieces in an even layer into a greased 9- by 13-inch casserole dish. Sprinkle sausage over biscuit layer, then top with shredded cheese.
- Crack eggs into a mixing bowl and whisk, then add milk and whisk until well incorporated.
- Pour egg and milk mixture over the top of casserole and gently shake the dish so that the mixture evenly coats the ingredients. Bake uncovered for 30 minutes, or until the eggs are completely set.
- Carefully slice casserole into squares and serve immediately.
